“When can I restart driving lessons or take my driving test?” is the number one question on many learner drivers minds now.
Today were a step closer to finding out as we have received a notice from the DVSA advising us that as long as the government roadmap goes as planned then Driving Lessons and Theory Tests will be able to restart on 12th April 2021 with Practical Car tests starting on 22nd April 2021. If you have a practical car test booked before 22nd April then the DVSA will be rescheduling it.
Why the delay for restarting tests?
Well, the DVSA have said:
“We know pupils with tests booked between 12 and 22 April will be disappointed. But it’s important that candidates have adequate time to practise with a professional instructor before they come to test.
Restarting lessons ten days ahead of tests will give you chance to provide your pupils with professional refresher training before they take their test. This approach is supported by the National Associations Strategic Partnership (NASP).”
How do I know I am ready?
